I AM 56 YEARS OLD HAVING ED FOR THE LAST 1 YEAR. I AM ON MEDICATION FOR BP. I HAVE UNDERGONE 10 SURGERIES DURING THE LAST 15 YEARS AFTER A MAJOR ACCIDENT. MY LEFT HIP IS ARTIFICIAL(THR) AND HAVING FOOT DROP ALSO. IF I TAKE EDAGRA 50 I AM GETTING SOME RELIEF .PLEASE ADVISE ME WHAT TO DO.
We are sorry to hear about the trauma you have undergone during the past few years .There are multiple causes for erectile dysfunction. In your case it may be due to some organic cause due the accident. Any disorder that causes injury to the nerves or impairs blood flow in the penis has the potential to cause ED. Certain medical conditions like heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, injury to spinal cord etc and certain medicines can lead to ED. Whatever may be the cause there is effective treatment. You must consult an andrologist and do the necessary tests to identify the cause. It is not advisable to take any medicine without expert guidance of a doctor.

Usually newly married couples engage in sexual intercourse at least 4-5 times in a week.3-4 times during a period of 6 months is too low. You can ask your husband about it. It is better to discuss the matter with him openly and if required you may consult a sexologist.
